Evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety from a Licensed Psychologist in Orange County

Anxiety can make staying on top of life feel like holding something that’s about to crack.

Anxiety can feel like a constant pressure both physically and mentally.

How to Know when it’s Anxiety?

Common Symptoms of Anxiety:

  • Feeling restless, on edge, or constantly tense

  • Worrying excessively about different situations or events

  • Getting tired easily, even without much activity

  • Trouble concentrating or you mind going blank

  • Feeling irritable or easily frustrated

  • Muscle aches, tension, or soreness

  • Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep

  • Avoiding situations or people due to worry about being criticized or negatively evaluated

Diagnosing Anxiety:

We start by getting to know you and how anxiety is impacting your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through a thoughtful and collaborative assessment, we uncover whether symptoms like worry, avoiding certain situations, and physical tension may be negatively impacting your life. This helps us create a personalized treatment plan.

Treatment for Anxiety

In-person or online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for anyone living in California

At Welcome in Psychology Group, we provide evidence-based therapy for anxiety for adults (18+) to increase hope and improve well-being.

Experiencing anxiety is part of being human—it can help us stay motivated and alert. But when anxiety starts to take up too much space, interfering with your daily life, relationships, or peace of mind, it may be time to reach out for support. Anxiety can show up in many forms—worrying about social situations, avoiding certain places, feeling physical tension, or feeling overwhelmed by daily tasks.

The good news is that evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) are highly effective treatments. With the right support, it’s possible to reduce anxiety’s impact so you have more space for what matters.

The Process

1. Consultation

A low-pressure first conversation to understand your experiences, challenges, and therapy goals.

2. Assessment

In the initial sessions, we ask questions to understand how stress and anxiety has affected different parts of your life.

3. Tailored Plan

A custom roadmap for therapy that fits your life—realistic, practical and aligned with what matters most to you.

4. Therapy Sessions

Therapy sessions give you a confidential space to learn evidence-based strategies that help to reduce anxiety.

5. Review Progress

We regularly check in on what’s improving and what still feels hard, adjusting the approach so therapy stays useful and relevant.
